About Sitakali
Wait, that doesn’t look right. Oh, here we go:

This is what I usually look like when I’m at the computer.
I am an opinionated, self-righteous person. I get insanely irritated when I hear loud noises. I have a high tolerance for pain, which is good, since I get migraines all the time. I am a hypochondriac who knows too much about biology for my own good and too little to be of any use. Hopefully that will change when I become a veterinarian who writes award-winning dark fantasy novels in her spare time. Then I can obsess over my cat’s health instead of my own, and over whether or not my books can spark a global revolution.
I am passionately spiritual and political, and I love labels:
Anarcha-feminist
I view gender politics through a political lens: patriarchy is just one manifestation of oppression and hierarchy.
Anarcho-socialist
We can exist without government or hierarchy. I believe in a collective, communal approach towards a healthy socio-political system.
Social ecologist
Our society is sick, and we cannot cure our insatiable hunger for resources and power through individual action alone.
Deep ecologist
Our study of the ecological sciences must be underpinned by a sense of ethics and political philosophy.
Pantheist
The term “god” is only, and can only be, referring to our incredibly complex and vast universe. Superstition and belief in the supernatural are unnecessary for feeling reverence, euphoria, or hope.
Animist
I see the whole world as alive. Each element impacts other elements; connections exist everywhere. In that sense, everything in this universe has a spirit.
Agnostic
It is apparent right now that existence of anything supernatural is impossible to disprove, and therefore impossible to prove. But I am open to the possibility that something exists beyond the reach of modern-day science.
Atheist
I do not believe it would be rational to accept something’s existence without proof. And I most certainly don’t believe in any religion’s depiction of “god.”
Primitivist
Our aversion to anything “uncivilised” and “primitive” is immature. We went from being creatures who respected each other and the world, to creatures with nothing but contempt for each other and the world. If anything, we have gone backwards in that sense.
Anti-dominant-paradigmist (this one’s a protologism)
I’m the type of person who would put a “Subvert the Dominant Paradigm” bumper sticker on my car, if it weren’t so fashionable.
Pinko-Commie, Man-Hating, Feminazi, Treehugging Heathen
Do I need to explain this one?
Due to my strong opinions and desire to voice them regularly, my presence on the web has slowly grown, and I decided to create a website—a hub for all my randomness—before it gets too out of hand.

If you haven’t heard, Antioch has taken a huge step toward reopening. They’re now officially separate from the “University” system. Yellow Springs lives on too.
i love you! your such an intelligent woman
Thank you, what a compliment!
Sitakali,
Your profile “labels” are absolutely terrific. It is encouraging to know that such intelligent, rational, attractive women do exist in this world.
I have a couple of questions about your veterinary education that are not appropriate to post as comments on your web site. I would appreciate it if you could send me an e-mail directly.
Thanks!!!!
Thank you.
I love your humour and ability to laugh at yourself. You might want to update this, though, since you no longer get migraines all the time, and you’re self-righteous opinionatedness seems to be mellowing a bit with age. =)
Thank you.
Unfortunately, as I don’t take fish oil and magnesium regularly, I do sometimes get migraines. You really think I’m less self-righteous? When I was a teenager, I was much less self-righteous than I am now. I think it’s gotten worse with age.
Hello, I work with a cotelclive here in San Francisco that is interested in researching anarchist tendencies within Latin America for the very reasons outlined in this article. We do some translations and try to work on building solidarity with cotelclives in Latin America. We are small but are interested in obtaining some of these books. Aside from ANARQUISTAS EN AMERICA LATINA the other books appear difficult to get ahold of or very expensive. Can you offer any suggestions?
Hi there, sorry for the slow reply. I actually am not well-versed in Latin American anarchism, so I wouldn’t know where to look. I hope you’ve found some help.
Well, I’m not comparing it to when you were a teenager. I’m comparing it to a couple of years ago – Yes, I think you’ve become more accepting and less angry recently ..aka less self righteous. And you don’t get migraines “all the time” anymore, hence the updating. So…take your magnesium and fish oil and you won’t have to use your pain tolerance so much!
I love your words. It is everything is true.
Thank you. That means a lot to me.
